Armpit's police station experience

Armpit's experience at the police station was he was very scared because if he had told something that was a lie then the detective could find out. Also he did take a chance by saying that he did not know X-Ray or Felix or Moses. Another thing was that he went back to some of things that he said and then changed his story. He also lied about the price of how much the tickets to the concert costs. Eventually he told the truth about some of the things except for calling someone Habib in his story.

Love-the theme of love is obvious in the way that Kaira called Theodore her boyfriend. Also when Theodore kissed her when he first saw her agian in San Fransisco, he didnt even care about the bodyguard.

Protector-The theme of protection is obvious when Armpit protected Kaira from El Genius and Aileen. Armpit had to risk his life to save Kaira

Friendship- The theme of friendship is obvious when Armpit needed to express his fellings to Ginny and Ginny helped him by listening.

How does Kaira's lyrics relate to the novel?

In the novel Theodore said five things that he would want to accomplished. Those Five things were to graduate from high school, get a job, save his money, avoid situations that might turn violent, and lose the name armpit. This relates to Kaira's lyrics "Got no rearview mirror And none on either side. Ain't no lookin' back, babe, When I take you for a ride! It relates by saying in spite of bad things that can happen there is no looking back you have to move forward.

How would you feel if your girlfriends life was in danger? In the novel Small Steps the lead character Theodore had to answer this question.

Near the end of the novel Theodore was invited by Karia De Leon to meet her in San Francisco and go to her concert. When he made it there he was surprised that the famous singer wanted to spend time with him and actually called Theodore her boyfriend. Theodore and Karia had a great time together. It's to bad that the whole time Karia's manager, who is also her stepfather, was trying to hurt her. Her manager, EL Genius, and his Secretary Aileen are plotting to harm Karia.
Karia doesn't know that she is in danger. However when Theodore walks in to find Karia hurt, and himself in danger he defends her and protects himself. Theodore saved Karia's life and after everything was done he said he felt scared. He never spoke to Karia after but he had the knowledge to know even if he was scared she was worth saving.
In my opinion Theodore is a hero. Yes he had an argument with Karia however he still liked her enough to go to her room to say goodbye. Theodore proved to be a great guy to risk his life to save Karia. Theodore is also a hero because of his relationship with Ginny. Ginny was Theodore's best friend and he treated her with so much respect.
Ginny had a disability however, he always treated her like she was his most trusted friend. Ginny always felt good when she was around Theodore. Yes I would recommend this book to people of all ages. It is a fun book with good details. The story is easy to follow. The story relates to teens and adults. Most important it is like another book that is good like Holes.

Would I enjoy being a rock star?

Absolutely! I would love to become a rock star because you dont have to go to school and you have your own bus with video games, a bathroom and a flat screen TV. I would like my friends to be on the bus with me because it will be boring without anybody on the bus. Also I would really love to drive across the country and perform. Oh and I can dye my hair!

Theodore is my favorite character

Thedore is my favorite character in the book because he is tough but he has a kind heart. Another reason he is my favorite character is he gets into trouble but he finds a good way out. Next he is a risk taker because in the book he lied to Detective Newberg about X-ray and the tickets to the concert. Also he is not a follower he is a leader. Nobody has to think for him.

Small Steps

In humanities class the book that we have been reading is Small Steps by Louis Sachar. So far in the book the main characters name is Theodor. He has friends named X-ray, Ginny, and Kaira DeLeon. Theodor's nickname is Armpit. I know it might sound weird however the reason he has that name is when he was in boy's camp a scorpion stung him on the arm and the sting went all the way to his armpit. Armpit has an interesting relationship with his friends. First his friend Ginny has some physical problems but they are really good friends. Second his friend from boys camp X-Ray is someone he really cannot trust. He really likes Kaira but she is a famous singer and they might not be able to get together. So far I have really enjoyed reading the book. An event that took place is amrpit ask Tatiana if she would like to go to the Karia DE lion concert and Tatiana said yes I want to go to the concert. Then when armpit whent home from school meanwile Tatiana was talking with her friends about going to the concert with amrpit. Tatianas friends were saying that you sould not go with him to the concert because he went to a bad camp. they also said that he does bad things and has bad friends. So Tatiana did not go to the concert with armpit but instead he whent with Ginny. When armpit and Ginny were at the concert Ginny had a seisure! After Kaira finished singing she went to check on Ginny. Then the security got armpit because they that he hert her. So after the concert Karias drummer got fired because he told Karia somthing that upset ELgenuis. Next Karia finally has a friand wich is Ginny because she can talk to her and she is ill. Then Karia took Ginny and armpit in her trailer then armpit was about to kiss Karia until the body gaurd came in. After they left the arena Armpit was furious with X-ray because he gave him fake tickets and with a really bad excuse. As you can see I cant wait to see how it ends.
